Working across North West Europe

Local citizens helped shape plans for a brand new station and the revamping of two more, creating a better-connected city for both the area’s economy and its growing population.
Additional trains on the Riviera Line (Exeter to Paignton) were complemented by a marketing campaign, station improvements and work to involve residents and rail users.
The new locally owned station building in Burnley has improved the station’s visibility and provides a base for community engagement. A new direct Manchester service began in May 2015.
Citizens and businesses in Nuth and Kerkrade helped to develop plans for improved and brand new stations to connect people to their neighbourhoods, leisure, green spaces and to bring economic opportunities.
